After defending his Phd The Romantic Idiot Rasmus understands his situation is not the one to be envy about. He has no job, but a big study loan. Having no other choice, he accepts the offer to work as a language teacher of Danish in a small provincial town. 
 
Here he meets a colourful community and soon enters dreams and lives of the locals. Rasmus falls deeply in love with his student Signe. And he has no right to do so, as Signe already has a love and her name is Camilla. But Signe is dreaming about having a baby, so it’s no easy to be a romantic idiot in province. 
 
The actor of the main character Rasmus, Carsten Bjornlund, was nominated for the award of the best actor at the Danish Film Awards Robert.
