Timeless is a posthumous compilation album comprising nine studio recordings and one live recording, covering all decades of Prince’s career from the 1970s to the 2010s. The album, released on 28 August 2026, includes tracks "spanning every phase of Prince’s illustrious career, from 1977 to 2016." The songs are sequenced chronologically by their known or attributed recording dates.

The 1970s are represented by a single track, I Am You, while the 1980s are represented by three: Tick, Tick, Bang, Heaven and I Wonder. Two tracks date from the 1990s, With This Tear and Stone, while the 2000s are represented by Calabama and The Guilty Ones. The 2010s are represented by Bestest Friend and the live recording of How Come You Don’t Call Me Anymore. The inclusion this live version (labelled as How Come You Don’t Call Me Anymore (Live)) is unusual in the context of an otherwise studio-focused collection. The Timeless liner notes identify it as a live recording from 4 March 2016] at Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA, USA, during the Piano & A Microphone Tour (his supersedes the earlier possibility that the recording may have been taken from Prince’s final concert on 14 April 2016 at Fox Theatre, Atlanta, GA, USA).
