Arthur Smith (geboren 1 april 1921 in Clinton, South Carolina) 
is een Amerikaans muzikant en songwriter.

Arthur Smith is een gerespecteerd country en instrumentaal componist, 
gitarist, violist en banjo speler.  Hij had een grote hit met het 
instrumentale “Guitar Boogie“. Het nummer leverde hem de 
bijnaam Arthur “Guitar Boogie” Smith op. Het nummer stamt uit 1945 
en zou later door talloze andere gitaristen gecoverd worden.
